Middle son ordered an Air-to-Air missile.  Seems that the various shipping concerns won't let you ship that as a single unit, but it must be dismantled and shipped in two pieces.  Warhead separate I guess.  They also require signature with verified adult ID.  If you can't sit home waiting all day that does present a problem.  Second attempt tomorrow.  After that he may change the address to my house.  Pictures next week.

It's an art deco piece, not fully functional. (fully being the key word)

Alright.  I gotta see what you are talking about and where to order one.  Cough it up.

And how is that laser level working out?  Which one did you get?  I need something for outside distance as well.

One of the many Chinese consumer models, Huepar Box-1G.  Cross configuration, green 150 degrees. When I bought it they advertise 165’ outdoors. Now the specs say 150’.  Of course, none of these can be seen far in daylight.  Using it outside with a white target stick I got about 60’, which is probably further than some of the others.  I’ve used it indoors to mount some shelves, worked fine. They do sell an electronic receiver/detector.

It arrive slightly damaged, so the "artist" is sending him a second one.  This one may be for sale.  We'll see.

I need to send pics to my friend who was in the air force. I think he'll get a kick out of that.
