Harris Running Mate

What are those of you in other regions hearing about a mate for Harris ... Oooops, a Freudian slip?

Here in the occupied land of Chicago we hear that it is all J.B. Pritzker. You know, the evil 1%er that is worshipped because he is equal to Bernie Sanders in Socialism, and that will moderate Harris' being left of Bernie.

This guy is not afraid to push every liberal agenda. Gun bans and restrictions, fees for everything, taxation that has no limits, redistribution of dollars (I won't say wealth, because he flat out taxes everyone for it), he believes in open borders and sanctuary (and if he is V.P. he will open the federal coffers to fund it all), and since he controls Chicago, he can do anything he wants. That power base will carry over to every Blue bastion across the nation to give him the courage to push everything.

Conservative outlets are full of paranoia over who it could be, but they keep saying that the V.P. has very little power, except in the Senate. Their biggest fear is that she will pick a governor from a swing state and sew that state up for her.

Liberal outlets keep talking about someone with experience, in a thinly veiled nervous tone that they don't trust her abilities. They also talk about typically she would select from a large and vital swing state.

Both parties mention Pritzker, citing his proven far left agenda, the power from a Chicago, .... eeerrr Illinois, ..... I mean Chicago base. And his ability to both raise money, and his bottomless personal wealth.

If they choose Pritzker they are going to faced with the hypocrisy of a 1%er running for V.P. in a party that condemns the 1%er.  By the way, this 1%er, when going into office, stripped the toilets from his Chicago mansion. He did this, because it dropped his property taxes to near zero during a period he could get by without it.

Pritzker is a no-go - assuming kamala and her people still have any functioning brain cells.

One reason is all that you laid out, he is way too liberal/progressive for most of the country to stomach, and he is easily deflated (ideologically, not physically) in campaign ads.

The second is that he adds nothing to the table. The Cackler already can count on the Electoral College points from Illinois. She (am I assuming her gender? Forgive me!) needs someone from a swing state so she can lock down those votes.

Walz is Pritzker Lite. Another state that is already blue, and he is a little less left than Pritzker. Less only because Minnesota has too much red to let it go full Chicago.

Kelly and Shapiro are both swing states, and these two are more moderate. However, Shapiro is governor (wouldn't affect House or Senate). Kelly, former Independent going Democrat when he had the chance at office, puts a Senate seat into play when he steps away, but his miliary and NASA astronaut background put an aura about him.

I think that Pritzker would like to stay on the sidelines. At 59, he would be 67 in 2032, or 63 if Harris screws the pooch this fall.  Pun was not intended, but after seeing it in proof ready, ...
