Rossi USA R95 Lever Action .444 Marlin and .45-70 rifles have an MSRP as little as $1,060.99, so you should be able to find them for under a grand. Barrel lengths are 16.5", 18", 20", and 22" in .45-70, 16.5" and 20" .30-30 Win, and 20" in .444 Marlin, .44 Magnum, .357 Magnum, and .360 Butthammer, uh, I mean Buckhammer. Among them are Tacticool models threaded for suppressors.

That’s a great use of the Condor Outdoors shotgun scabbard! It’s awesome how adaptable gear can be when you get creative. I’ve used one of their scabbards before for a different purpose, but I had a similar issue with a rifle not quite fitting the way I expected. I ended up using some lever action rifle parts to customize it a bit, which made a big difference in how secure and comfortable the fit was. I was actually on a hunting trip, and having that extra comfort and security made carrying my rifle much easier, especially when I needed both hands free.

I've been trying to find a good non-snag front sight for my shotgun so I can slide it in and out of the scabbard. Too bad I can't find a front sight blade with wings like they put on the TALO Ruger 10/22 M1 Carbine. I think it's the same sight as on some of the 10/22 Tactical rifles, but I can't find them for sale anywhere. One option I've found is the EX Tactical Front Sight from Spitfire Armory that will fit over the vent rib. But I would probably have to grind a bunch of metal off the bottom to slim it down and round it off. So I'm more likely to just buy a Tech Sights Front Sight to match my Ruger 10/22. Then, if I want to I can put a Night Fision PERFECT DOT FRONT SIGHT POST, GEN 2 on it like I have on one of my ARs. But I might get a different color circle if I do.
