As ridiculous as it is to see people in movies shoot an M134 Minigun that weighs 85 pounds hand-held, it gets worse. In the movie DOOM, one of the guys has a three-barrelled rotary heavy machine gun that appears to be a shorter barreled version of the 138 pound GAU-19 chambered in .50 BMG. Or a 132 pound M197 750-1500 rpm 20 mm that was mounted on helicopters. I just saw him walking around with it hunting down a monster, when he decided to pull back the charging handle and cock it. It had a classic Hollywood gun-cocking sound effect to go with it. The 1,000 - 2,000 rounds per minute rate of fire is enough to rock a full-size truck around when it's mounted, but he shoots it like it's a medium machine gun or a SAW.
The Doom Wiki says
Destroyer's gun is a three-barreled minigun modeled after the Vulcan. the weapon is fed ammunition from a backpack. This weapon is more commonly called a Gatling gun or Chain gun as it was named so in the game. It is a World War II M1919 with an external motor powering the rotating action that makes it appear to be a Minigun. Well, it makes perfect sense now.

That makes it sound more like an M197. Sort of.
