Woo Hoo! The odometer just rolled over...

Woo Hoo! The odometer in my Yukon just rolled over to 188,888 miles a half hour ago. And I didn't crash my car while I was watching it. I like it when most of the numbers match. I tried taking a picture but it was already dark and the flash came on. I'll have to take a pic in the daytime, if I remember to do it before I go anywhere.

I took a pic of the odometer today. When I told my friend about it last night, he showed me what I was missing out on. I zoomed in on the important part.

Nice! There’s definitely something fun and a bit magical about repeating numbers. I thought 25.05.25 was a cool date too. Nothing special happened, but it still felt kind of satisfying.
Hope you catch all the 2s next — 222222 will be a great one to snap a photo of!

I told my friend when I sent him the pic, my poker hand was five of a kind. I told him, Beat that! It really seems special when the numbers are in a sequence like 12345, too. Special to me, but no real meaning.

What didn't show in the picture was the 1/10th of a mile. I reset it as it rolled over, before I pulled into my driveway. So it was 1888888.1. Minus the decimal point, it would read the same thing backward as forward.
