The United States Army (USA) is the primary land service branch of the United States Department of Defense. It is designated as the Army of the United States in the United States Constitution. It operates under the authority, direction, and control of the United States secretary of defense. It is one of the six armed forces and one of the eight uniformed services of the United States. The Army is the most senior branch in order of precedence amongst the armed services, and is older than the United States itself. It has its roots in the Continental Army, which was formed on 14 June 1775 to fight against the British for independence during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783). After the Revolutionary War, the Congress of the Confederation created the United States Army on 3 June 1784 to replace the disbanded Continental Army. The United States Army considers itself a continuation of the Continental Army, and thus considers its institutional inception to be the origin of that armed force in 1775.

The United States Army 250th Anniversary Parade (colloquially called "Trump's military parade") is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2025, in Washington, D.C., United States, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Army, the oldest of the six branches of the United States Armed Forces. The parade will also celebrate veterans and active-duty service members, and coincide with President Donald Trump's 79th birthday. The parade is part of the celebrations of United States Semiquincentennial.

The parade is expected to involve 6,600 soldiers (from at least 11 corps and divisions nationwide), at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands and several thousand civilians.

The parade received bipartisan criticism over its high cost amid concurrent government cost-cutting efforts, with the Army expecting to spend anywhere from $25 million to $45 million. It also received criticism over its occurrence on Trump's birthday, with critics arguing it politicized the military and its optics appeared closer to parades held in authoritarian countries. The parade came out of Trump's desire to hold a military parade during his first term that was rejected by the Pentagon for appearing too political.

The parade will follow a route from the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia, to the National Mall, Washington, D.C. Heavy, tracked vehicles would be stationed near the Lincoln Memorial and join the procession there.

The United States Semiquincentennial, also called the Bisesquicentennial, the Sestercentennial, America250 or the Quarter Millennium, will be the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Festivities will mark various events leading up to the Declaration's anniversary on Independence Day, July 4, 2026.

And here some social media background pics you can use, including 1 I resized for my phone. I have my phone set to not auto-rotate when I turn the picture right side up. I tried posting about this Saturday morning but couldn't get the site to load all day and night. Something here must have broken down.

Only 12 hours to the Army 250 Parade. And 10 hours to the pre-show.
