There is a story about a German Major who retreated with ~1,500 troops to a French fortification and refused to surrender.  It was somewhat of key position but could have been bypassed, however the German officer was just a little too haughty with his reply to Patton's offer of surrender.  The officer said something to the affect of "over my dead body".  Patton is famously have said, "I can handle that."  And he did.

All of the boasts, bluster, and BS in the world is nothing compared to U.S. military might. When are people in these other countries going to realize that? Talk is cheap, ammo is expensive, and countries like Russia and their allies can't afford to take us on.

Yes.

Hats off to those troops and personnel.

I read yesterday that one of Maduro's body guards made the statement that he's NEVER seen any operation like that of the US guys that came in. He said he NEVER wanted to see it again either.

This was linked to a WH rep, but unconfirmed:

Quote
An unconfirmed online account attributed to a Venezuelan security guard loyal to Nicolás Maduro described the U.S. operation to capture the former president, including the alleged use of a "mystery weapon".
This account, which spread widely after being shared by the White House press secretary on social media, included several specific claims.

Key Claims from the Account
The anonymous guard's statement, presented as an interview, made the following claims about the U.S. raid:

Technological Superiority:
Venezuelan forces were described as "technologically unmatched," with their radar systems suddenly shutting down before drones appeared overhead.

Acoustic Weapon Allegation:
The guard claimed the U.S. used an unidentified weapon that produced an "intense sound wave," causing some soldiers to fall to the ground, bleed from the nose, and vomit blood.

Casualty Disparity:
He stated that a small group of around twenty U.S. men killed hundreds of Venezuelan forces without suffering any casualties themselves. This contrasts with other reports, including from the Venezuelan Defense Minister, which also mentioned significant Venezuelan casualties, including Cuban bodyguards, but also some U.S. injuries.
Warning to Others: The account ended with a stark warning to other nations that might consider fighting the United States, saying, "They're not to be messed with".

Context and Analysis
The authenticity and specifics of the account, particularly the "sonic weapon" claim, have been the subject of debate.

Propaganda Concerns:
Experts suggest the account could be effective propaganda, potentially scripted by the U.S. to undermine confidence in Maduro's security and demonstrate American strength in the region.

Betrayal Narratives:
Other reports and U.S. officials indicated that a human source within the Venezuelan government, and potentially paid-off bodyguards, helped track Maduro, suggesting internal betrayal was a key factor in the operation's success.

Official Confirmation:
While U.S. officials provided details on the raid's planning and execution, they did not officially confirm the use of a specific sonic weapon, focusing instead on the element of surprise and intelligence gathering. The White House shared the social media post containing the account, lending it visibility, but did not formally endorse every detail as fact.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

To me, that guy who said not to mess with the U.S. sounds more like propaganda than an interview or anything else.

Maybe. But remember people under a totalitarian communist socialist system learn how to ingratiate them selves with the big dog.  And who is the big dog now?
