FREE TICKETS!!!

I have 4 extra tickets for the Robbie Knievel (son of Evil Knievel) event at The Sprint Center this weekend if anybody wants them.

He's going to try to jump 5000 Obama supporters with a bulldozer.

Should be a good time. Let me know if you want them.

I was not expecting that when I read the headline.  Quality stuff. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
The person who has nothing for which his is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

"Have you any idea how much damage that bulldozer would suffer if I just let it roll straight over you?"

"How much?" said Arthur.

"None at all," said Mr Prosser.

I like your reading choices  ;D

I just saw the movie again the other day. No time to read all the books, but I did read one of the Dirk Gently, Holistic Detective books and have the other one sitting here unread. I like how he does things, like if he's lost he follows a car that "just looks like it's headed the right way".

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Barely. They showed it on PBS. I think I saw a show in the middle of the last season and didn't know WTH was going on.  ???

The only video I have is from the original BBC series, would not even consider seeing the modern movie remake - total crap, agreed by folks who did plunk down the $9 to see it.

Back in the day when I used to do professional training, I always knew how hip my class was when I used "42" in some way in my presentations. Usually, someone would say "Hitchiker's" in some stage whisper.

A few things that stand out -

Book 5 of the ever increasingly inappropriately named Trilogy.

Ford Prefect - It's a Little like being drunk
Arthur Dent - What's wrong with being drunk?
Prefect - ask a glass of water.

The Cricketeers when they break through the perpetual cloud surrounding their planet for the very first time, and the glory and majesty of the infinite universe is thrust upon the three Cricketeers in the space ship. The silence is finally broken when one announces - - - - -

"It's gotta go!"

"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do this to others and I require the same from them"
