The so called "Bail Out Bill"

People we need to make our voices heard.  on Monday I email all three of my congress critters and told them to vote NO.

Today I emailed and FAXed them again. 

First I thanked Bill Nelson (D-FL) for voting no in the senate and then I sent this message to my two congressmsn

Dear Sir,

I am a life long Republican and will be voting for McCain but I beg you to follow the lead of Senator Nelson on this bill.

Vote NO.  There is no need for this, especially at the level (850 BILLION) now being considered. 

I own a (very) small business and over the last ten years I have been sorely hurt by non payments from some customers that I extended credit to.  There was no ‘bail out’ for me.  I had to get smarter and work harder to continue to survive.  The banks and businesses that created this mess can do the same or they can fail and others will get stronger.  That is the way capitalism works, let it do so.

Again, please vote NO.

I'm not buying that.

He says that the ~30% diff in R vs D is not significant..

60% of Dems voted in favor while only 33% of Reps did the same. That’s a noticeable
difference but hardly extreme.

..yet that is approximatly the same % diff in money for those voting for and against.

House members who voted yes received an average $231,877. Those who voted
no received only $150,982.

Can't have it both ways.  Either 30% is or is not 'significant".

This is just the amendments, but a few I came across include things like incentives to cut down on idling engines at highway rest areas, an end to excise tax to wooden shaft child's arrows, income averaging for payment recipients of the Exxon Valdez accident, and incentives for those that ride bicycles to commute.

It is over four hundred pages and I came across these and bunch of others by just picking random pages as I scrolled along.

It scares me to see what the rest of the document looks like when you consider this is just the amendments.

I sent a thank you to Nelson too as well as a reminder to keep it up! A bitch-letter to Martinez (rookie) & a boo to short-time Weldon in the House.

Interestingly it is now being slowly realized that this whole economic meltdown is a hoax perpetrated by the B Hussein Obama campaign. There is no crisis - you can use your credit cards, get a mortgage, car loan etc. - if you qualify (like it was a few years ago - if you can afford the loan!). I took it as a possibility to start, but after analyzing (best I could) & trying to figure what caused this immediate problem/panic? The only thing is it is October in election year & we have a manipulative party in control of congress. I think Bush was duped into his actions on this panic. The general public is reacting just as planned & 'the savior' is collecting his adoring disciples, singing his praises.

Contact all your legislators & vote NO to this hoax. If the market needs correcting, let it - we'll survive. If it all comes down to it, we can defend ourselves ... we have the technology (from 1911 forward!!!).
