Para TTR upper?
« on: October 04, 2008, 06:05:19 PM »
Hey MB, watched the Para/Blackwater video clips and was wondering if they are going to offer the TTL as an upper. When Mr. Jarrett is speaking about it on the clips he sounds like Para is going to offer it as an upper, but the Para website only mentions the complete TTR and conversion "kits". Also do you have any idea as to the cost of this "kit" or an upper if they do plan to offer one?

Thanks

The rifle is supposed to be ready sometime THIS year, and on the Para website it says, "Coming in 2009, will be kits to convert your conventional AR-15 to the premier Para Tactical Target Rifle." That should be a complete upper with a "drop-in" fit, and a stock. What I like best: length with stock folded – 26.25 inches. Just barely legal.

That's what I was hoping as far as upper and stock. Always liked the 180(more than the 15) more, but Armalite's 180B leave a lot to be desired(it's almost like they make it so no one else will be tempted to, and they make it as undesirable as possible.)

I hear ya. When I first heard they were coming out with the new verision of the AR-180 I couldn't wait to get one. When they came out with the AR-180B with a plastic reciever and fixed stock I changed my mind. The "B" is short for BS. What a load of crap that was. If they would have made it with a metal reciever, folding stock, and a Picatinny rail, they could have sold millions of them. But how many did they sell, 100?  ::)  Hmm, could it be because they left out the AR-18s best feature, the folding stock?

I was hoping for a pistol that looked like an AR-18S (short-barreled), too.
