In today's Thomas Sowell article he promotes the book,

"The Case Against Barack Obama"  by David Freddoso

Here's the closing paragraph of Dr Sowell's article.

"Senator Obama is running on an image that is directly the opposite of what he has been doing for two decades. His escapes from his past have been as remarkable as the great escapes of Houdini.  Why much of the public and the media have been so mesmerized by the words and the image of Obama, and so little interested in learning about the factual reality, was perhaps best explained by an official of the Democratic Party: "People don't come to Obama for what he's done, they come because of what they hope he can be." David Freddoso's book should be read by those people who want to know what the facts are. But neither this book nor anything else is likely to change the minds of Obama's true believers, who have made up their minds and don't want to be confused by the facts. "

No need to be sorry Rojawe.    I post these articles to give us all ammo with which to help our "blind" or foolish friends and neighbors "see the light". 

If each of us could only convert one vote away from Obama......

I'm working on mine and my tactic is to show how counter Obama's core beliefs are from my friends.   She doesn't see it yet, but by 11/4 I'm hoping she will.

Having gently discussed the presidential choices with a wide variey of people in the NC Capitol area, it appears to me as there are two groups of voters, each basing their choice on how much they want to be helped by government, or how badly they wish to be left alone. We have become a nation of dependents. by political strategy, a condition that will change only when the public realizes that the government is unable to come save everyone. We CAN do it, but we will have to be made to. Human nature.

We are halfway there, IMO. Our dollar is still worth something - although it is very little.

here in Peru the dollar is already risen some because the rest of the world is having trouble as well. though I suspect they tried to make money by adjusting the value and it's now biting them in the a$$. I have seen in other countries that the dollar hasn't dropped drastically, just enough to make people nervous. if what's happening here is any indication then I would say we don't have too much longer to wait to get out this rut.

 The "dollar" has not had any REAL value since we went off the Gold standard. It is merely a "theoretical representation of a fraction of the GNP". But don't worry, it's backed up by the "Integrity of the United States Govt."
