Did McCain Finish Giving It Away Yesterday ? ? ? ?
« on: October 11, 2008, 08:53:59 AM »
Right before the football game yesterday (10-OCT-08), I was watching Fox News and saw McCain at one of his rallies.  A McCain supporter, standing next to McCain, espoused that he was concerned about BHO's character and past associations.  McCain responded to him and another of McCain's supporters later that BHO was a decent man, a decent family man and blew off his past associations.

What a dwebe....let me rephrase that...who the hell does McCain think he is?  Does he think this is his personal coronation...there are millions of people out there (me for one) counting on him to do the best he can to get elected so we don't slip into the dark ages....and he does this.  The election is about U.S. not him.  What the heck?

This confirms to me that McCain has lost his rabbit-assed mind.

I'm still going to vote, I'm still going to vote McCain....but that's to keep the Supreme Liars from being president and vice president.

Give us a break...please.

I'm not sure where McCain is headed, but the news clips I watched last night and the newspaper reports were that the McCain supporters were just short of tying nooses and lighting crosses.  McCain is trying to settle these people down.  When it comes to radical and emotional support it is a short trip over the line to wackyness, and many of these took the fall.

Like I said, I'm not sure where he will go from here or what he will do, but Mr. McCain is dealing with a bunch of nut jobs in his corner.

I'm afraid that McCain's supporters are the ones coming apart at the seems, and now he has to fight two battles ... make that three - BHO and his supporters, the MSM, and now his own supporters that have gone over the edge publicly.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

My take on it is different.  I believe most of the kooks you are talking about are paid by the DNC to be kooks to disparage the McCain campaign.

Yes, McCain is giving the election away.  I'll still vote for him only to help keep Obama out.  Too bad McCain is blowing it.

I'm not sure which rally you saw footage from but McCain was in Lakeville, MN yesterday.  As McCain likes to do he takes audience questions.  There was a elderly woman there and McCain went over with his mike to take her question.  She started to say that Obama was an Arab but McCain cut her off and took back the mike.  McCain told her Obama was not an Arab to which you could just hear her say faintly, "Oh, he's not?"  McCain replied, something to the effect, "No ma’am he is not, he is a fine family man..."  He went on for a bit then about Obama.

IMHO, in this situation McCain did the right thing.

Now, that being said, there are some accusations going around that the Obama campaign is sending plants to McCain rallies to stir up troubling negative comments in the audience as McCain and Palin speak.

Take it for what it is worth – a rumor.

It was the one before that woman.  And, I think he could have answered the "elderly woman" differently....he didn't have to have his Obama knee pads on to set it straight....he just did it wrong.  Same thing kind of subservient attitude Dole lost with...when you have a cockroach you step on it...you don't elevate it to something it is not.  That might work with the refined and "proper" subculture...but bleeds pure weakness to other subcultures.  Can't win being weak and subservient whilst omitting or excusing an opponents character flaws.

I hope you are right in that it benefits him.

It's a slam dunk the DNC has not changed past disruptive practices.....can't cite the multiple instances (some help here please guys) but it has been proven that the DNC has planted people to disrupt former Republican Presidential campaigns.

I saw some clips on PBS last night with a man in the audience talking about the socialist direction the country would head into if Obama was elected and he was very upset about that prospect. And another clip showed a black man telling McCain to do whatever it takes to bring the ones to justice for causing this current financial crisis; that is, if there is any criminal statutes that covers that.

On a side note, I think that PBS and Fox have probably had the best, balanced coverage during this campaign. Before you guys call me a liberal, I don't think PBS is great, it's just not as bad as some of the others.....

I'm not sure where McCain is headed,

A home where the staff will change his "Depends" when he starts to smell funny.

IMHO, in this situation McCain did the right thing.

Obama is half white  3/8ths ARAB/African 1/8th Black/African. McCain did the WRONG thing by not pointing out that the election is not about heritage but about policies, and Obama's socialist policies have been tried many times, in many countries, (including here under peanut man) and have NEVER worked.

I'm still going to vote, I'm still going to vote McCain..

I'm not. I'm casting my vote for Sarah Palin, McCain is just some baggage she has to drag around with her.
