Kel-Tech part two

The Ruger is much easier to shoot, but the Kel-Tech is much easier to pack.  They say life is a compromise, and I guess that is what this Kel-Tech is, but as the first rule of gunfighting is "Have a gun" I guess this is a good compromise, as this gun is so small and light you never really even notice it.

Did a 25 mile bike ride from Frisco, Colorado, to the top of Vail Pass and back today...carried the Kel-Tec .32 ACP loaded with SilverTips in its soft pouch, which I slipped in the left leg of my bike shorts...sort of a crossdraw!

Mike, knowing that you and Jeff Quinn both think they are decent guns kind of puts my mind at ease about them.  I really had misgivings about it, but it has been fine so far.

I've only shot the .380 and it was snappy.  Special purpose firearms are always a trade off.  It has to work #1, all else is arguable. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, as my mentor always told, although , sometimes he said barely. Dance with the one that brung ya. ......25acp, .32acp,.380acp, etc... even a Freedom arms mini, what you have is what you have, not what you wish you brought.

Side note to Don, I too am a Guy Clark fan, ( home grown tomatoes, or is it tomato's ) better ask Dan Quayle.

Shot another 50 rounds through her today with no problems.  Here was my best target, at 15 feet.  I shot a target at 20 yards and kept them all on the paper.  The more I shot this gun the better I like it!

There are a few fellows at "packing for life" that really like these kel-tecs and I hear their customer service is excellent. personally they are not for me, guess I have a problem with anything that dont shoot a round that starts with a 4. Ive heard all the pros and cons about these pistols and would give a thumbs up to them, with the right round considering their size and application they may make a good "BUG"
