Colt 1991A1 .45ACP about 30% of the time....Glock 27 .40 the other 70% due to climate issues.
I am comfortable with either with respect to defense issues.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Pictures of what I carry.  On the Colt 1911, note the rear sight.  It is a S&W revolver rear sight which was poplular when the slide was worked on, slide was hard-chromed.  The M28 had the front sight changed from ramp to target front sight.  The CRKT is always with me.

For some reason the local and state police think I can only carry a knife with a 3" blade, even though the law says I can carry a big hunting knife. Now I carry a little bitty pocket knife so I don't confuse them with the facts, and they don't confiscate my knives that are a little over 3". If they are that afraid of a knife I don't know what they would do to me if I carried a gun. I'm more afraid of law enforcement than I am of the criminals that make me want to carry a gun in the first place.

I take it Michigan has changed it's laws somewhat over the last 25 years?  It was never that bad before...Sorry to hear it!

Not south because I can't take the heat, but maybe west. It's just over 80 degrees and I'm too darned hot. I'll be glad when the snow gets here and I can put my lawnmower away until spring and quit sweating.
