Hi Tex,

Yes, it most certainly will work onehanded. It's all about GRIP, INDEX and Point Shooting one or two handed.  8)

We get a lot of handicapped people in our classes.

Take care,

There was one thing, in your competitions do you regulate for speed in movement or is it like USPSA/ISPC/IDPA and the rest. Would love to know if it is going to be freindly to the lesser mobile shooters like myself(move like the turtle shoot like the hair ya).  ;D

Personally, I believe that SPEED & ACCURACY are EQUALS and need to be kept in balance. The "Rule of Thumb" for me is never shooter faster than I can hit. As I said in my book, "Bullets never miss, they always hit something. And you are responsible for every shot you fire."

Now, being somewhat of a gimp myself (bad back and bad wheel) I undertsand the needs of the handicapped. I know that I can't perform the "Nike Maneuver" (you know, RUN LIKE HELL!!  :o ) like I used to.

I also know that I can't out run these young punks with their $100 Felony Shoes on nor can I out run bullets.  Simply put, some of us may have to stay and fight (and hobble around while we shoot).

Take care,

D.R.

It all comes down to knowing your "Grip Angle"...

The relationship of the "centerline of the bore" to the "center line of the grip frame" is what I call call the "Angle of grip" or the "Grip Angle". This is what determines where the gun points and ALL the guns are different.

The Glocks have a different "Point" than the 1911. The 1911 points different than the Berretta, etc., etc.

I find most people DO NOT know the grip angle of their main carry gun, let alone all the other ones they may have.

The Old Adage, "Beware of the man who only owns one gun; he may know how to use it!" really applies here. I tell everyone to find a gun they like and stick with until they master it. Changing guns usually means changing the point of impact when it comes to Point Shooting.

Take care,

D.R.
