When Hitler came to power...does it compare to us right now?
« on: November 03, 2008, 11:31:43 AM »
My mom received this from her friend, Caroline, living in AZ - formerly from Udall, Kansas

When Hitler came to power...does it compare to us right now?

This is from my niece in Kansas, Caroline
Some of you know that we once hosted a German exchange student.  Her family lived in the part of East Germany before the wall came down.  She had still been taught that Hitler was good for Germany and the Americans were the bad guys for getting involved.  She said quite blatantly that the Jews caused the whole thing because they were taking Germany's money and Hitler had to stop that.  So, this letter tells the truth about that time of war and the thoughts that were put into the minds of Germans.  Some still believe it in Germany.
  Lori Kalner

In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene's Shiloh books.

In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising "Change."
He blamed the "Zionists" around the world for all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth.
So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him.

Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would.
The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer's programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the play-yard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.

My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust.
I will never forget my father's face. Grief and fear. He knew that the best propaganda of the Nazis was song on the lips of little children.  That evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from Jeremiah 1:4-5.

'Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,
"Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you,
and before you were born I
consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to
The nations."

Soon the children's songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the streets and over the radio. "With our Fuhrer to lead us, we can do it! We can change the world!"
Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to bring comfort of God's Word, were "no longer there."

Where had they vanished to while under nationalized health care? It became an open secret. The elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals feet first as "mercy killing" became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had Down syndrome were euthanized.

People whispered, "Maybe it is better for them now. Put them out of misery. They are no longer suffering. And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden."
And so murder was called mercy.

The government took over private business. Industry and health care were "nationalized." (NA-ZI means National Socialist Party) The businesses of all Jews were seized. (Perhaps you remember our story in Berlin on Krystalnacht in the book Munich Signature)

The world and God's word were turned upside down. Hitler promised the people economic Change?
Not change. It was, rather, Lucifer's very ancient Delusion leading to Destruction.

What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it.

Our suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a black and white newsreel.
When I spoke to Bodie about some of these things, she wept and said she could not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, "who could bear to read our suffering?"

Yet with my last breaths I warn every Christian and Jew now in the name of the Lord,
Unless your course of the church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there are new horrors yet to come.

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah.   Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted.

There are so few of us left to warn you.
I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians.
Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote?
Do you vote based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics? Or do you vote according to the Bible?

Thus says the Lord about every living child still in the womb.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you."

I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth. I see them again now.
Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your freedom of religion.

In America priests and preachers have already lost their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits of moral danger in political candidates. They cannot legally instruct you of which candidate holds fast to the precepts of scripture!  American law forbids this freedom of speech to conservative pastors or they will lose their "tax exempt" status.

And yet I have heard the words of Obama's pastor Damning America! I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you "Cling to your religion."
But I am a woman whose name is unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)
I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble.  I tremble at the hymns to a political leaders which your children will sing at school. (Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)
Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected.
I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren. Do not be deceived.

The Lord in Jeremiah 1:7-8 commands every believer to speak up!

"Do not say, 'I am only a youth,' for to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you, declares the Lord!"

I am in Prayer for you, and for the Church!
Spoken to you in the authority of Jesus the Christ,
the Name Above All Names,
Lori Kalner

Any hope for a U.S. Supreme Court majority opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade will be lost.
The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) will be signed into law eliminating 35 years of laws that have restricted and regulated the practice of abortion.
He would very likely offer legislation to eliminate the Hyde Amendment which protects taxpaying citizens from being forced to pay for abortions through Medicaid.
Abortion will be covered in his proposed national health care plan.
The Mexico City Policy, which bars taxpayer funding of organizations that perform or promote abortions in foreign countries, would be eliminated.
Funding for the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) would be restored, allowing millions of taxpayer dollars for abortions and forced sterilizations in Third World countries, including China with its coercive "one child" policy.
The Born Alive Infants Protection Act and the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act would be overturned.
Current restrictions on the performance of abortions on military bases would be removed.

Had the chance to visit Washington DC last year, almost a year ago now, and went to the Holocaust Museum.  The constant death and murder was bad enough and got old by the time we were done, but the blame put on the U.S. got real old as well.

One thing I caught real quick was how the people of Germany accepted this.  It was just like the "boiling frog."  They eased into this not only not realizing it, but cheering it.  The scary thing is the way many, many, many ... are cheering the "change" of BHO.

The only question I have concerning his change, if we have to face it, is whose form of government will we be changing to?

Get out and vote to avoid the coming change!

Educate yourself so you will recognize wrong when you see and here it!

Stand up for not only your Rights, but for those around you as well!

We can't afford to relive the history of Germany just because it is politically correct!

I've been making this comparison for some time.  There are a lot more similarities.  Study history, the conditions in Germany, the promises Hitler made, his social programs, his rise to power, and the way he stifled his opposition.  Today's singing children are the internet, technically savy, babyboomers children.

Checkout this link: http://www.stephenhalbrook.com/article-nazilaw.pdf

This scholarly article deals with how the NAZI's handled firearms ownership. Very enlightening.

On different threads we have had the videos of singing children, and we have read about Hitler and the way he rose to power, but how many have seen and listened to some of his speeches?  I'm not talking about the one's we all grew up with that make him look like a ranting loon, but the ones where he is calm, gentle, "Uncle Adolf?"  At the Holocaust Museum they have several of these films and radio recordings, and the guy can come across like a caring saint that is here to save us all.  Sound like anyone we know?  He can smooth things over to the point you want to give in to help (it doesn't matter who the he is, Hitler and Obama are interchangable in that skill).

Germany and the world suffered already.  Let's not do it again!

Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Any person who supports the killing of even a single baby in the womb for any reason is denying God.

If more people consulted the Good Book (a.k.a. "Great Owners Manual of Life") we'd be better off....IMHO.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

On the subject of abortion, I can only say that it is the ultimate insult to the creator. I am conflicted by the Bible telling me not to judge, yet I am witness to these things that so beg for my judgement. In all, I think it is murder of the worst kind, and should be delt with as so. Hang the would be mother, the Dr. and anyone else who knew about it and allowed it to happen.

On the subject of Hitler, I must say this. What was seen in those times could happen again, and it could happen fast. I almost hate to hear people talk about it like it was a one time, long ago event. People, this happened in the mid 90's in western Russia, the late 90's in the middle east and right now in Africa. More people were killed Bosnia than ever were killed in the 30s and 40s in Germany. The thing is, that the media didn't cover it, so you didn't see it. We didn't send troops to speak of, so you didn't pay for it. ............I am drunk and off point. Anyway, what I mean to say is that you are right to draw a strong connection between the two, Obama mania and Hitler mania. If you studied hard in college, you would have learned about the power of mass fear. When the world is so fuc&*# up that we can't see a good ending, we will support any POS that comes along with a demanding voice claiming to have a cure even if it means killing a few million people. This is a sad fact , but one that needs to remain in our thoughts at all times. We must resist the natural need for leadership and nurture the need to lead.

I would recomend that any of you read from Thomas Jefferson's words as soon as you can find a book. His words fit this day in age to a fault. My challenge to you is to read some of his speaches, and try not to storm the white house with your AR's.  People, I am being serious here, the people of America must move to reclaim power in this counrty or it's really over.

On the subject of abortion, I can only say that it is the ultimate insult to the creator. I am conflicted by the Bible telling me not to judge,

Please no need for conflict on judging, the liberals always trot out part of Matthew 7: 1-5 out of context.

Judge Not, Least Ye Be Judged Yourself

One of the best known and most misunderstood Scriptures is from Matthew.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." (Matthew 7:1-5).

If Matthew 7:1-5 is read carefully, one can notice that it is addressed to a hypocrite. Instead of being a deterrence against honestly judging, it is a warning against hypocritical judgment. The last statement of this Scripture commands sincere, honest judgment. If a verse or a part of a verse is taken out of its setting, then it can be made to appear to teach the opposite of what it really means. It is easy to misquote almost anything to produce a desired effect or opinion. Misstating God’s word, however, is morally wrong.
Rights are like muscles, when they are not exercised they atrophy.

Good question, and runstowin addressed it well. My $.02.

If we are to follow in His footsteps, we are to be witnesses to His grace and love, but also to stand up to evil and judge it righteously, not capriciously. Those who think Jesus was some sort of Rodney King, "can't we all just get along", join hands and sing kum-ba-ya kind of guy completely misquote (perhaps intentionally?) Scriptures. As in Matthew 7:1-5, Jesus often called people hypocrites to their face. He fashioned cords into a whip and beat the crap out of the money changers and animal sellers in the Temple in Jerusalem - perhaps more than once. He confronted ha-satan in the desert and vanquished him there.

This is part of why you have to be a righteous warrior, and what I have meant when I said be a Christian warrior - recognize evil, and be prepared - at the risk of having to carry your own cross - to confront it to its face.
