I don't like to advocate violence under any circumstances, however, this so called teacher should catch a good old fashioned beating. Maybe, if severe enough, it would either knock some sense into or some B.S. out of her. Her harrassment of the little girl from the military family more than justifies a good swift kick in the arse. Teachers should not be politically motivated in the classroom, period, so it absolutely made me sick when students who said they supported McCain were met with replies like, "Oh, Jesus." However, it was perfectly acceptable to make a completely racist statement like the child who said he supported BHO because he wanted to see a black President. Give me a freakin' break. I am not racist in any sense of the word, as it would violate every fibre of my makeup and upbringing. That being said, I have a great fear that this country is in danger of severe racial tension and possible violence. Since the election, the black community has behaved as if they have won a collective "race lottery", celebrating the fact that an African American has been placed in office. Shouldn't the election of the better man be more important than that of the darker man? This combined with the bitterness of a McCain loss and the tension already spurred by racist, IMO, African American only award shows, television channels, magazines, etc., could end up in an explosion of hate crimes. I know I have gotten off topic somewhat, but I see these things becoming more and more possible and hope we can squelch the fire before it blazes out of control. We as a nation have enough to worry about with the economy in shambles and the ever present threat of terrorism, among other things, to have to worry about race wars.
