Police Ask Store To Stop Selling Replica Guns
« on: November 11, 2008, 02:43:56 PM »
In the City of Lakes, right here in the Great White North the police have decided it is easier to "ask" a retailer to quit selling something, because that is easier than correcting the real problem  >:(

Of the entire list of illegal acts the KMart committed none, but let's go to them to correct the problems.

The article said "Police have to make a split second decision..."  What it should have said is "The gang members are, in most cases, old enough to know right from wrong and know what they are doing might get them shot and is illigal but still do it anyway.  This makes for a difficult situation for police."  I know I speak for all of us in saying I don't want any youth shot unnecessarily but........

Do you think that if more toy gun stick up artist (youths) were shot "unnecessarily", would there be fewer "youths" engaged in criminal activities.

No kiddin'.  Some reporter thinks that tracing back a receipt is a big deal.  Gee....what a journalist.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

If anyone didn't already know it, using a fake gun to threaten someone is a crime. Some criminals are stupid enough to bring fake guns to a gunfight. I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I hear about a shopkeeper or other citizen giving them what they deserve. That solves the fake gun problem in a hurry.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
