Ruger's sr-9

Just wondering has anyone having any more problems with their sr-9 's Mine keeps shooting good and I must say that I had my doubts about it when it came back. But now my only problem is trying to find money to buy more rd's to shoot, I  never thought i'd say this but god i love to shoot this pistol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God knows I have had my share of pistols but i'm really amaze at how good it feels in my hand and how well it shoot's . The only thing I did to it was put a rubber slip on grip on it and paint the front sight blaze orange. The only other thing I did was to grind 1/32 off the top of the front sight cause my rear sight was screwed all the way up , and I was afraid it would come loose all together, this way it has a few clicks left..If I could I'd shoot it every day at least 100-150 rd's .

My SR9 is awesome! *Coughs* Wouldn't trade it for a Glock!  :P

i enjoy mine as well, its not my carry gun but it does the trick.  Only problem i've had with it was when my younger sister was shooting it, she was limp wristing insanly bad and it jammed on her a few times.  i attribute that to her lack of experience not because of the gun

I haven't had any problems with reliability---but I am definitely not anybody's younger sister either!

I do carry it, in a Don Hume IWB for a H&K USP and it works amazingly!

God help us all, but I've been using the unmodified SR9 that Ruger keeps asking me to send back, and it's a great gun. I dinked the trigger a little, pulled the mag safety and put several thousand rounds through it. Been using it in THE BEST DEFENSE, running drills, blah blah. It's hard to argue with a gun that shoots all the time, is accurate, easy to handle, etc. I figure if I ignore Ruger a little longer, they'll forget I have it...

Michael, I liked the trigger on the SR9 before I sent it in, but I love it now! It may not be huge for you, but the complimentary magazine was a big plus for me as well. Ruger may have disappointed some, but I'm still a loyal customer! I still don't believe that the SR9 was any less safe that any other firearms. I believe it was more of an issue of lawyer-proofing the gun. Either way, I've got a nice 9mm and payed a fair price for it!

M.B. send it in ... belive me when I say that you will NEVER tell the diffence between triggers .. that is what I really thouht too. but when I got mine back and started shooting it I could not tell the difference.REALLY .... Ithink it might be because of the middle peice is made out of plastic ??? I really think that YOU will  not tell the difference ... P.S. I know that you are more schooled in firearms then I but I can't tell the difference ...
