I'm not sure where to post this but Aimpoint and Midway will donate $100 to the NRA Institute for Legislative Action for every Aimpoint CompM4 electronic red-dot sight package purchased by NRA members from MidwayUSA through the end of 2008. Midway link at bottom of page.

I just spent about that much money on an EBR. If I buy it now, I'll need to plagiarize your signature - I got a brand new Aimpoint for my wife. A pretty good trade, huh?
That being said, damn, I'd love one.

Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...
Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

I don't know if that's a decent price for the mil-spec Aimpoint or not, but it costs more than any rifle I might put it on.
