Real world worry!
« on: November 22, 2008, 03:06:29 PM »
In the event that Obama and his thugs were able with the help of "Give up your guns" Pelosy were to not only push an AWB through, but inact a program of mandatory confiscation and collection. What could you do? In the spirit of always thinking through possible scenarios and being mentally prepared with a plan of action. What do you do when your told that over the next few weeks ATF and local authorities will be coming door to door and collecting any firearm deemed "Not for public" ownership.  (I.E. AR platforms, any firearm capable of holding more than 10 rounds and all semi autos). What can you do?

Depends on record keeping requirements in your state, if private sales are not recorded you have the option of saying "Oh, I sold that", otherwise your choices are give it up or fight , die, and be labeled a "mad dog".
I don't how ever think this is very likely in the IMMEDIATE future, as the logistics are just to over whelming, for one thing the ATF is not large enough to cover every city and town in the nation at one time, nor do State and Local Authorities have the man power to perform door to door searches while still performing normal functions. Simply arranging storage and destruction sites would be a time consuming process, remember, this is the Govt. we are talking about, everything would need to go out for bid to make sure that "minority" owned businesses had an equal chance at the job.

Bears repeating.   Don't lie.  Don't make up stories.   Just refuse to say anything.  "Sorry, I have nothing to say."  Or just "Sorry"  You can go to jail for lying.   Even for saying, "I don't remember" or "I don't recall."    Sometimes, the penalty for a false statement is more than for the crime it was covering up.

Unless you're Bill Clinton and the penalty for perjury is nothing.

If they come to take my guns by force today, then I say today is a good day to die. I'm armed and ready, and know enough to shoot where body armor doesn't cover, like the face. Until it comes down to that, I'm just going to live my life and not worry about what may happen tomorrow.

Would you rather live as a subject enslaved by a corrupt government, or die as a free citizen fighting for your beliefs? Long live the revolution!
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783
