Bad news in the email regarding my new DPMS PIF!

Just got this email:

THE BACKORDERED ITEM HAS BEEN DELAYED INDEFINITELY.

The good news is I had the foresight to contact my local gunshop and ask if he would accept and hold a DPMS for me if I paid for it. Said yes, he could easily sell it and get me my money back to me and still make a profit - so I bought one from the Outdoorsman in ND (thanks to whoever posted they had rifles available) and they shipped last Thursday. 

So, I'm paying about $160 more, but so be it.

..and refs.  I carry my pistol in my bag whenever I can. I can't begin to explain to you all the stuff that has happened to me and my fellow officials at the youth level. Parents are nuts. One guy tried to have me and my assistant refs arrested for accessories to assault at a tournament because his grandson got injured in a foul situation "and YOU DID NOTHING ABOUT THE KID THAT KICKED HIM!".  Of course we did nothing. It was his kid (on offense) that slid into the opponent, and got kicked in the ribs as that player was in mid swing. Free kick for the defense. Felt bad for the kid, even worse for him after meeting his grandpa.
 
So after officiating six games that day in 97 degree heat (8 am til 7:30 pm) and having to do six more the next day, we all got to sleep after visiting the police until after 1 am.
