Golly, you’d think the late President Lincoln would have been pretty anti-gun. Certainly, his widow sitting next to him at the theater wasn’t a real big fan.

That blows his credibility out of the water right there.

Why gun owners are running scared, you ask? Because contrary to what "the Messiah" (D) said during the election, his tract record as a politician says that he is anti gun and he will do everything he can do to roll back that inconvenient little 2nd amendment.

I find the list of rules for commenting here to be quite ironic given the discriminatory and degrading nature of the article, one of the rules says if you see something factually wrong e mail the news room, that would pretty much include this entire article, from the condescending tone, to the use of the spurious term "assault weapon". For those who don't know any item used to injure another is an "assault weapon" weather, as in the case of Cain and Abel, it is a rock, or like on 9 11 01, an Airliner full of passengers. The term "assault weapon" was made up by PR consultants working for the anti 2nd amendment lobby with the intention of fooling the uninformed into thinking it somehow involved machine guns, just like the ridiculous term "gun crime", murder, rape, and robbery, are violent and illegal weather committed with guns, or as in most cases knives, clubs or fists. Those who seek to take our CIVIL RIGHTS would have you believe that crime was not invented until after the discovery of gunpowder.
The truth of the matter is that if these "do gooders" telling us "it's for the children", were TRULY concerned about violent crime they would be seeking stronger controls and stiffer penalties for violent offenders, and the lenient Judges who turn them lose to attack again, instead of demeaning,and inconveniencing LAW ABIDING citizens.
A truer interpretation is that "gun control" has nothing at all to do with safety, doctors kill 3 times as many people per year, it's all about control.
The only people who support "gun control" either seek to undermine the checks and balances of the Constitution, or else they are in league with robbers, rapists, and murderers, and wish to supply them a safe work place.
It is time for Law abiding gun owners to take a page from the "Gay Rights" movement, Get out of the gun closet and into the streets, when Blacks fought for equality many of them DIED.
If you take a day off to picket a newspaper or attend a legislative hearing to make our voice heard you are not likely to face lynching .
Wake up and stand up for your CIVIL RIGHTS.
