Comparable to what? A S&W642 w/ +P's or a S&W1911PD commander w/ 185gr+P golden sabers. Maybe worse maybe no? That seems to the powder burning question.

That would depend on you.  I don't have a problem with my 23oz 9 or my 49 oz 45Colt or any full size 45ACP but I don't like the feel of the smaller 40s.

I have one, had a ton of ftf and fte, and had the recoil guide rod spring shoot out the front. Replaced parts, all free from Keltec, but to no avail. Finally they told me to send it in to them, when I got it back it ran like a champ, no jams anymore.

I had a 1st gen that was not worth a hoot. When the 2nd gen guns came out I took another chance and bought a hard chromed version. When I bought it, I took it immediately to the range and shot 200 rounds through it with no oil or cleaning. Now I have close to 1,000 rounds through it and ZERO problems. I don't carry it as much these days (traded up for an air-weight j-frame) but it still serves a purpose when I need an ultra concealment pistol.

It's not a target gun nor is it really a range gun. I am pleased to get out of it what I have and realize that others have not been so lucky. While I would not get rid of mine, I would not necessarily want to break another one it as I may not be as lucky. I do think that the HC models run better than the blued or parkerized. I feel that HC'img the slide smooths out some of the round spots left during manufacturing. I have several other friends that have also bought HC models and have run the same break-in drill with ZERO problems.
