Saxby wins. No filibuster-proof Senate.

'Nuff said.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

I got a chuckle watching the early returns.  The Martin (D) camp was deluding itself that the polls had it a close race.    Martin's chief spokesman even said that their polls showed Martin was leading.   I think 3% was the margin predicted one way or another.

For those outside GA, with 97% of the precincts it 57% to 43%.  Not even close.  I love it when the pollsters are so wrong.

Lefty rant "THE POLLS PROVE THAT DIEBOLD STOLE THE ELECTION!"

Actually I think this bodes well for us in the 2010 elections.  Most of the lefties (and racists) are too lazy to vote in 'small' elections.  If we come out in force we can get some seats back to the R side.

Very astute observation, my feline friend.  :)

Exactly.
I posted a comment on this a while back about a local news reporter asking around a local college campus (ASU, predominantly Black) about voting in the run-off election. Every single person interviewed said they were NOT going to take the time to vote in the run-off because it was not as important as the presidential election.
More proof that our president elect was voted in by blooming idiots with no clue of the political process.

I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

All true. Good thing the elections in two years are unimportant.  ;D
