I'm on my work computer and the newspaper link is blocked so I'm unable to pull up the Ohio CCW article to be able to judge the tone of the article, so I may be heading down a different road than the title of this thread implies. But, I'll throw this out for discussion anyway. Why should we be afraid or upset over published CCW lists?
Most states have CCW right to carry laws so why do we have to skulk about under a shield of anonymity when we have every right to carry? Keeping our names unpublished makes it seems like we have something to hide, that we are ashamed to be gun carrying Americans. I feel that more information is a good thing. The more people are made aware of who's carrying and how manyof us there are it will help curb this notion that CCW carriers are just a handful of overzealous kooks. They will see that we come from all areas of the country and from every facet of our culture. So, I don't think we should cower like second class citizens every time a CCW list comes out but stand up and be proud of the fact that we carry. Proud that we carry not only to protect ourselves and our loved ones but to defend anyone whose life may be put in deadly jeapordy. We are the Warriors of this society, be proud of that!
