I realize most of you gun toting right wingers LACK a college education because you simply do not like to THINK. No, you prefer to REACT. That's what you are doing here again. You don't go out and rationally buy a gun or ammo for RATIONAL reasons. You go out and do something for an irrational reason or no good reason at all. You do it because everyone else you 'respect' is doing it.

Why don't you just try THIS? Think before you ACT. You elected GWB and voted for McCain why? We all know you don't know why! Nobody that voted for Bush and McCain could be clearly thinking about their actions. Bush is arguably going to go down in history as one if not the WORST President ever. This isn't an opinion, it's likely to be recorded in history far and wide. McCain/Palin weren't far behind (or in front) at all! Don't you feel the least bit FOOLISH to have proudly voted for the WORST President this country has ever seen? Have you ever stopped to think and realize that Obama could turn out pretty bad and still be better than Bush? If he does good at all, he'll be admired by the world for the rest of your God given lives.


I'm not sure if anything makes sense to you people, but for crying out loud WAKE UP! Obama is your next President. Yes, crime is up and the economy is wayyyyy down and you only have one President to thank for that. The one that's been in for the past 8 count 'em 8 LONG YEARS. In short, if you are going to buy a gun make sure you get a good deal. If you already have a gun or two, wait a bit. Chances are, Obama will improve the economy and thus lower crime. The price of guns and ammo will drop again. What goes up must come down, etc. Quit being stupid, and maybe we'll catch you on the flipside voting for Obama - the winner of the next Presidential election. Yes, you can count on it.

I THINK that my 2 college degrees plus graduate work have nothing to do with common sense which these fellow bloggers exude

No offense to MB, but when did it get passed down from on high that journalism and English are such a huge dang accomplishment for a college degree?   Over half the roustabouts and roughnecks I knew offshore could get a degree in journalism or English could do well in those courses and most of them didn't have a high school diploma.  Those were crip courses...easier even than the psychology (which I foolishly squandered time taking and "achieved" a minor in) I took to impress the ladies with.  And...Curries, as you I've got a couple of degrees as well...and not in some flunky (sorry again all you English teachers and important probed, err, truth probing journalists) dang course like journalism or (here it comes, "hell hath no fury like a teacher scorned") or education.

Not that extremely intelligent people don't excel in life and have journalism and teaching as a passion and do well or greatly benefit society with it...but the mass of reporters, etc...well heck...we talk about their lack of reason, lack of clarity of thought and mindless drivel endlessly on this board.  For that matter, look at the NEA and the anti-American stance they enjoy promoting to our detriment.

I think the news media gives the internet way too much credit for the downfall of the daily printed word.

Well said Curries! And thank you for the Washington quote I had never seen...it is a GEM. If you want to know the true intent of the 2nd amendment, look no further than that quote.

I will admit I don't have a degree. I got caught up in the moment (for about 10 years), thought I'd be a rock star, a flash in the pan marriage, etc. Then came the love of my life, and my family and a life that has included five different businesses, (two at a time for awhile), the fire service where I climbed to chief, EMS, coached basketball, rasied three kids and got THEM through college, a career in field engineering and construction, and a musical career that, while not producing fame and financial bonanzas, has spanned 40 years and has been incredibly rewarding. I never realized that I did all of that without the capacity to think.

Educated people are not always thinkers, they are not always effective, and they are not always right, except in their own minds (as we ALL are). Our Constitution acknowleges our rights to pursue our own beliefs and our own dreams. Unfortunately many times the people this asshole is praising are the people who DON'T have a clue...restricting the rights of others seems to be the way they approach a problem.

Change a few words, twist a phrase very little...and it's the voice of Hitler youth.

This is laughable and it's typical leftist rhetoric and completely unsupported by facts.

The A-typical uneducated voter leaned heavily toward Obama and about 60% of the votes cast for the President Elect were cast by people who have no idea who Joe Byden, Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid are and know nothing of the three branches of the Federal Government.  These are FACTS supported by exit polls on November 4th.  If they were required to take the basic test for citizenship, most would never score high enough to become citizens.

It's what makes the DNC more powerful every election cycle, it's called "THE DUMBING DOWN of AMERICA"...!!!
