Scope Mounting Question
« on: July 02, 2007, 11:48:36 AM »
Hi Guys,

I have a Savage 111F that I am trying to mount a scope on.

Problem is a can't tell (even under magnification) what is used to get the plugs out of the predrilled holes on the reciever.  Is it an allen wrench or TORX or what?

HELP!

Hazcat, knew you could improvise, overcome and adapt. Blue loctite is my thread agent of choice. If you ever have trouble removing loctited screws, it lets go at about 300 degrees. A heat gun or even a soldering iron directly to the screw will make it let go, you will see it start to bubble out. I hope you never need this info, but you never know.
