I was just curious about the first handgun(s) that people purchase.  Either revolver or semi auto or both.

My first pistol was a Star BKM, a lightweight 9mm semiauto that I got cheap (Found out why after shooting it,But thats another story) My 2nd was a Colts Detective special. I prefer autos for carry and revolvers for shooting (Less lost brass)

My first was a Sig 226r.  Still my go-to gun for shooting and practice, but a 228 has replaced it as the beside gun.

I had to look at my records to "help" my memory, but my first revolver was a Wesson 44mag fixed 4" barrel.  Now that one I wish was still with me. Could clang the rifle pepper poppers off hand everytime in double action. Ahhh woulda coulda soulda held on to that 'un.

Colt Govt. 1911. Ordered mail order from Kliens in Chicago in 1961. Think it was 60 bucks.
