NE Shooter's Summit
« on: January 13, 2009, 08:32:29 AM »
I know some of you are up in New England and there is a great training opportunity coming up in a few weeks in Nashua New Hampshire:

Craig Douglas, Chris Fry, Mike Conti and several other quality instructors will be there.

Check out the event Here: http://www.anarmedsociety.org/.

Hopefully, I'll see some of you there.

Just got into town and it looks like we are in for a cold one on the range tomorrow!

There is a really impressive list of instructors here, I hope to see some the Regional DRTV'ers come out from behind the keyboards and do some real training!

The first day was outstanding.

I attended two sessions and taught in the late afternoon....

Here is a thread with AARs: http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=54838

Tom and others in the area who have been expressing thoughts on defense and tactics: You area really missing out.  Try to make the next event. There is huge value in dealing with guys who think about, need, train and teach this stuff on a daily basis beyond the keyboard commando world.

The 2nd day of the event was awesome as well.

I was able to sit in on parts of Tom Sotis' knife session and Chris Frye's Carbine Combatives.   Both of these guys are subject matter experts who are passionate about communicating information to their students.

My session in the evening went from 2 hrs to 4 since we all had nothing to do but leave afterwards!  We spent about 1 hr shooting an 3 covering concept topics related to realistic firearms training and intuitive skill development.

Looking forward to the 2010 Event!
