Nice. Good to know.  Do you think 3/4 of the State Legislatures will pass it? Not likely, IMHO.

Did you know that if the States call for an amendment, a Constitutional Convention is convened, and the whole Constitution is fair game? It's conceivable the 2nd could be struck down or amended. All changes must still be ratified by 3/4 state leg approval, not likely, but there it is.

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

They (Dems) really believe Obama is the next FDR, huh? It's interesting the two presidents Obama is most compared to happen to have periods in their presidencies where they were virtual dictators- FDR and Lincoln. The only way Obama will get that coveted title is he will have start another world war (possible) or cause another civil war (also possible)......

I just wrote my congressman (Wexler-Dem), who is on the committee, stating what a waste of time this is and to kill it.  Of course he just bought a condo in-state so he can legally represent me!

Ironic thought, B Ho gets this passed, Then the economy REALLY crashes and , like Hoover He gets ALL the blame and can't get elected dog catcher, the one who benefits is the conservative republican who replaces him ;D

The only way Obama will get relected is if:

the econ makes an amazing recovery( not going to happen).

The GOP throws out another DOA canadent  *cough* McCain *cough*
