Seecamp .32 ACP

I'm thinking about getting a Seecamp .32 ACP as a back up gun.  Does anyone have any experience with this semi auto micro pistol?  Seem very well made in all stainless, but certainly pricey at $475.  I have an opportunity to get a LNIB one for $400.

They are very well built guns but, if you get it make sure it does not have the very little safety behind the trigger. For me the dang thing is almost impossible to dissengage but pratice at the range showed me how easy it was to put on. I carried it front pocket without safety on. (MA trigger pull is heavier than a factory DA 642S&W) And everytime i took it out , safety was on.
That friends made me feel really hinky about carrying a pistol i couldnt use without a tool to push the small safety due to my fingers being to fat. But they are well made

I've got one of the pre-CNC ones. I carry it some in the summer if I'm on the beach or working out.  Only have a few hundred rounds through it; it ain't exactly a fun range gun. It will,however, go bang every time and if you can administer head shots at short range (sans sights), it's probably better than a sharp stick.

Hi Tex,

I looked into this today following your post and learned that the Seecamp model with the trigger safety is the special California compliant version.  The other Seecamps thankfully do not have this "safety" device. Just what you need should you require your pocket pistol in a life and death emergency.  The regular Seecamps have a simple DAO trigger.

We need that "stupid proof" California version here in MA also. The only thing that pushed me into a 642 S&W. Now that i think about it I am glad cauz that Airweight is A W S O M E ! Lighter and with my size just a good of a pocket gun without the slide-bite and costly ammo and if my brain doesnt fail me the trigger on the CA version was heavier than the S&W. Just saying man, you may want to side by side comparison.

I think I may just stick with my S&W Model 60 snubby in a Mika pocket holster.  I read something today, like you mentioned in your posting, about all the Seecamps having a heavier trigger pull than your typical S&W snubby.  I was just thinking about something smaller for summer months and as a BUG.  To be honest, I am hesitant to give up .38 +P protection for .32 ACP.  Thanks for your help Tex and everyone else that responded.
