Wheels, your damn right.  Texas is the best, ever.  Weird though, about the other employees holding here at bay, then the cops show up and shoot here.  What the hell happened.

I have no further information, but I know that there is a phenomenon known as "SBC" (suicide by cop).  Often people who want to die but lack the courage to off themselves force LEO's to do the deed for them.  It's possible that the armed citizens didn't respond to a threat the way the LEO's are trained to do.

Pure conjecture on my part, however.

+1 on living in Texas , the testimony was the armed employee's were holding her at bay, not pinned down, hands behind her back etc.. ready to be taken into custody. It was also said, more than the officers shot. Will wait for the longer, more detailed story. I bet there is a connection with the victim and the attacker, shooting someone with a bow, when you have a gun, sounds like some kind of a weird payback. But people who go into a business and shoot other people don't work on the same frequency as most other people.

I'm with you there. Years ago, a fellow employee went into the Albertson's where my wife works and killed 2 people with a samurai sword. He had the sword concealed under a trench coat (during June) and was reported to constantly hear voices. This guy really liked to let people know when their religions didn't jive with his beliefs. He showed up at the store after no-showing for a couple of weeks and proceeded to just hang out for a long time, like he was trying to pick who'd be first. Another employee told us that he came over and just shadowed her in her checkstand for about 15 minutes, before moving on. Definitely an oddball.

Note: A police officer took him out with his AR. Both of the victims were within weeks of retirement.
