I will just remind everyone that Planned Parent Hood enjoys tax exempt status.

They are the #1 abortion provider in this country, and YOU help subsidize it no matter what your religious and moral beliefs are. Here is a great read by Malkin about the issue:

Taxpayers kick in more than $336 million worth of government grants and contracts at both the state and federal levels. That’s a third of Planned Parenthood’s budget.

You know I'm glad he did that...

I'm not pro life or pro choice...I am; however, a big fan of removing as much reglion from the goverment as possible.

I do think Roe v wade is a joke, do to the fact that it sees abortion as contraception.   Its not contraception... that would be proactive, not reactive.

I think you miss the point a little, the gov't should not sponsor religion, or impose religion.  As far as not having religion in the gov't, good luck, not that I think having no religion within the gov't is good, I think religion has good morays, and to base a gov't on its morays rather than its scripture can be a good thing.  Hell I think the United States of America did a good job of it.

TAB, You need to go back and reread the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. They are NOT based on no religion in Govt. , but on no STATE religion. Both documents are strongly influenced by a belief in God as both the basis of our moral conduct and the source of our "unalienable" rights.

TAB, another way to look at it (slightly different than what Tom said) is the 1A is there to guarantee free exercise of religion without government influence, not the free exercise of government without religious influence. It's always about the individual, not a group, and certainly not the government.

I think you missed my point... like many "GOP values"   pro life is based on regilous emotions, not conservative values...  GOP values yes, conservative no.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

I think the main reason we all get into these arguments with you, TAB, is that you confuse the GOP with Libertarians.
