Did anyone see him last night (7/11) shooting balloons at 200 yards?

Incredible stuff to me.  Heck, I couldn't SEE a balloon at 200 yards!

1st He used a S&W 44 mag.  Looked like about an 8 3/8 barrel, 240 grn JHP Federals.

The next one just blew me away.  S&W 38 spl model 60. Looked like about a 3 inch barrel, 158 grn SWC Federals, 10-15 mph crosswind. WOW, just WOW!  :o

Rerun, saw it both times. I always wonder just how many shots he actually takes before he gets the one we all see. Video editing is a wonderful tool.

The time that Bob Munden was doing stunts with a derringer, he showed at the end that he went through a .50 cal ammo can full of .45 Colt to accomplish his final performance.  His hands were black from the powder fouling!

Still damn good shootin'!

He was the first guy to hit that light switch for me that pistols could be shot for distance off hand. If that guy could do it why in the heck cant I sorta thing, if you know what i mean? Next thing you know 50-100 yard shots with 1911 is common/easy to do. 200+ with the big cals. at about 50% hit rate. Although I do not get to pratice the 200+ often so thats why the smaller %. Never mind the balloon at that distance the steel plate is almost impossible to see. That Man is COOL in any book.

The thing that impresses me the most about Bob is the quick draw.  SMOKES!  is he fast or what!  Here is another example of the long handgun shot.  A little specialized but impressive non the less.

Just an opinion here but ol' Bobs fast draw is way more imp;ressive. But if you blink he has drawn, fired, and reholstered..........everytime with full powerfactor loads. Not them sissy loaded-down grammpy loads.  :o

According to Mr. Scoutten in his new thread (on that other board, the one Mr. Bane was invited off of) Bob did it on the first shot.  It's back a couple of months ago when the show had it's first run.

What I would have liked to have seen is how many times Bob could hit it in 5 consecutive shots.

I did not see it last night, but I have seen it before.  It is amazing!  And Munden is the fastest fella I ever seen with a single action too.  He can shoot 3 shots and you can't hear but one go off.  Blows my mind.

Ya know.............With the 38 he didn't really hit that balloon.  He hit the steel low.  I hate to even mention it.  It was an excellent shot just hitting the plate.  With the 44 he hit left but the elevation was excellent.  Couldn't tell if he hit the balloon or not with the camera off to the right.
