As much as I hate to do this............................... :-\

Never regret presenting boths sides of a story, M'ette.

Even though it might "damage" your position on the issue, it is taking the "High Road" and it keeps us all honest.

If we fall into the "liberal" habit of distorting the truth or outright lying, we will have lost more than the argument.

If we fall into the habit of believing these deceptions, we will join the ranks of mindless believers like those who have elected this president.

It will not hurt us to be armed with all the facts.

As to Obama's actions, if we allow that he could not be personally present for the security reasons given, a tele-presence could have been arranged where he could express his regrets and support...if they exist.

It might have been costly, but well within the budget of this extravaganza and was due the most important group of American Heroes.

We will see if he attempts amends and will determine if they are sincere.

Hell, as an after thought, this Ball should be sponsored by the President and not the American Legion and the Medal of Honor holders should be the Guests of Honor.

I don't buy the "security argument" for an instant.  Here's why.  The article that M'ette posted says that the Vice President DID attend this ball.  Yet the article's writer would, apparently, have us believe that the Vice President's attendance requires less stringent security precautions than the President's attendance.

Scuse me while I throw a "bullshit flag" on this play!!
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

I think you are wrong, bunghole Biden is WAY down on the target list
1) He's irrelevant, he's a shmuck and everyone knows it
2) He's irrelevant, his job is to go to state funerals, if one is his own, Oh well, some one (Hilly) will take the job
3) He irrelevant, HE'S not the FIRST any thing, let alone Black President.

Having seen firsthand as a LEO the security precautions taken for a VP I stand by my previous statement.

Have you also seen the security precautions taken for a President as a comparison?   I know you probably haven't had a chance to see those for the first Black President.
