In Florida, carrying at a large, single event or gathering such as a football game or public gathering/protest in a big no-no.
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

Guys, just going on a hunch here, but if 1 million people showed up with guns...what do you think DC or Congress would do? Issue citations? Arrest everyone? Put them all in Jail?

They know that if it happened and they prosecuted anyone it would immediately be challenged as a 2nd Ammendment violation.

I know, it is a little fantasy in my head, but I think 1 milliion gun owners showing up at the National Mall to show that we don't care for the idea of loosing our rights, would be pretty damn impressive.

No, but I think afterwards, they would pass some law to prevent it from happening again. Call out the troops too, maybe? You know the media would label everyone a gun-nut and go on and on about bringing weapons to a peaceful demonstration.

No one is planning on bringing guns to DC  ??? Didn't you read the posts on their forum ? Or all of my post ? Current laws will be PROTESTED, not violated.

As to what Congress would do, I suspect they would crap their pants and hide under their desks   ;D

As for the media labeling us "gun nuts", this sort of demonization is one of the things we will be protesting. It's a "Hate crime to talk that way about any other group in America, why do we allow ourselves to be discriminated against in ways that are not exceptable with other groups ?

I don't think we should do it, I think it would be funny if we did do it. I am not for breaking the law or violence, I am for protesting the law. And I am sick of the President's smug attitude of "We won the White House and Congress" Because he lost by 49%.

Remember Hoverville is what started to turn the tide against Hoover...now imagine Obamaville.  ;D

I don't think anyone here would seriously break the law, especially when it comes to firearms and our rights concerning them, I think the thread just got off topic because of some questions by someone. I read the website and have signed up for the newsletter, I may not be able to go to DC, but if there is a march in my state capital, I will be there to give what support I can. Personally, I think going armed to any of these events would just play into the anti-gunners hype and spin. It wouldn't do us any good.

We are headed for economic ruin with this idiot. A government economy is no different than a business or personal economy. When you get into trouble you don't "fix" it by spending more money you don't have. This is precisely what this clown proposes to do, AND FAST! Just try to imagine you get laid off at work and come home to tell your wife the bad news and she replies:

"Don't worry, everything will be just fine! Tomorrow we'll head out early to Best Buy and get that 52" Plasma we've been putting off. After that we'll trade the car in, then head over to Ethan Allen for that new living room set of furniture we've been eyeballing. If we do everything right, AND FAST, we should be able to get rid of $50 Grand by noon. We'll be in great shape by dinner time, and "create jobs" for Panasonic, Ford, and the furniture industry in the process!"  ::)

Multiply everything by a few hundred BILLION, and you've got Hussein's "solution".  Buy guns, ammo, and Gold! You're going to need all three.  Bill T.

I would love to buy more guns and ammo, only problem is I have no gold. Can you give me a bailout?  ;D

Are we bringing our guns to the march? That would be funny! A group of armed citizens larger than the US Army...Sure would put it in perspective for Capitol Hill.

Wouldn't that be a shock for them....more people than in the Army, with guns, and peaceful non-violent protest.

I don't think liberals know what a peaceful non-violent protest is. Those buffoons think that throwing rocks through the window of a small business is the way to protest cutting down the rain forest in Brazil to make paper hats for the French navy.
