I cant tell you how many times I have contacted Lindsey Grahamnesty about how I as his constituent expects him to vote and how many times it has fallen on deaf ears..... He used to actually write back when I requested it and address the issues I raised telling me why he votes the way he does..... but after the last time when I told him that I, my wife, and about 15 other people that I swayed voted against him in the primary he no longer replies to my correspondence. I was very polite about it. I told him thank you for his time in Washington, but we in South Carolina no longer needed his service...... Sadly, he won reelection this last go around by a sizable margin and he continues his service as a flaming RINO & John McCain's lap dog.

Letter I sent him here:

It is a travesty that these bums continue to get reelected time and time again despite their incompetence and failure to fulfill the wishes of their constituents..... I have heard that reelection rate for incumbents is right around 90%..... And with Graham and Jack Murtha going back for another term, the intelligence level of voters is once again proven to be well below what is needed to get this country back where it needs to be.

Since moving to Missouri I have written the Missouri contingent in Washington numerous times. Claire McCaskill is our liberal Senator. She definitely has some strange views on the Second Amendment. Every time she writes me back it's to proclaim that she fully supports my Second Amendment right to own sporting arms and hunt! Last time I checked the Second Amendment was a political right like the right to free speech not to own a hunting rifle only. As a trained historian, the Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting or hunting arms!
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

That's pretty close to the 6 to 1 against nationally.  However, congress doesn't care what the constituents think anymore...

That is because they know that the constituents they ignored about the bailout plan, are the very people who will re-elect them anyway. If every representative and senator who was up for re-election and also voted for the bailout plan, lost, we would be well on the road to having compliant and obedient  congress critters. Stupid voters equal stupid representatives.
Rights are like muscles, when they are not exercised they atrophy.

All of my representatives have heard how I feel. They don't care though. They get health care, they buy gas minus all the tax they charge us, they have armed guards when they won't let us carry, and they debate the stimulus package and declare a state of emergency when we KNOW there's a problem and are waiting for sensible action, not more platitudes.

Government serves no purpose but to propogate itself. Politicians serve no purpose but to get reelected. We are not constituents, we are livestock to them. Llamas, sheep, and goats get more consideration from their overseers.

If you run for office, fine. If you are re-elected, chances are that you aren't worth a s***. The more you get re-elected the more you are like those big hummers and SUV's. We know they're no good but we keep asking for them. Duh.

I got the blues as my companion.
