You may not be able to carry a gun, but you can, like protesting students do, carry a very visible empty holster. This was done after Virginia Tech.

I see "Uncle Ted" will be there and participating.

No need to wonder if the message will be loud and clear.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

If the numbers get as big as their potential, it will be hard for the main stream media to ignore the "masses" in DC, (that are gun owners). ::)  I like the empty holster idea.

Signed up for the newsletters, and plan to "road trip" with others in 2010.

They won't ignore us, they will simply marginalize us. They will find the 1 or 2 minor incidents and make them the focus of the march. Or they will find a couple of clueless FUDDS and use their "I would never own an assault weapon like an AR" quote to damage us further.

I do agree Pathfinder.  Hopefully, the 99.999% will get some positive coverage. (Especially at the state level) like Mass, NJ, Ca, Md. I do think they (the MSM), will always find the "clueless FUDDS".

I'm hoping for the best, and expecting the worst.

This is always the risk you take, but you can't sit back and do nothing.

Don't forget there will be local & state marches too. The details will be on the website as they are discussed & scheduled. We need to participate in all we can. 10 to 100 million people would be great rather than just a measly million!!

Yes, 10 - 100 million would be GREAT. BUT, (always a "but") that would need to be spread through out the whole country. As a practical thing we will be limited in each location by facilities such as available camping/housing spaces, toilets etc.

Oh, but to have to worry about that kind of problem....

We should be so lucky! But many people cannot take off from work & will have to settle for more local - that's good too. We need everyone everywhere they can.
