Trillions? Get ready for quadrillion
Debt clock in NYC modified to handle incomprehensible growth

By Jerome R. Corsi
NEW YORK – The Obama administration economic stimulus package is going to force the Treasury to borrow approximately $2.5 trillion in 2009 and another $4 trillion in 2010, with the result of increasing the current $10 trillion national debt by 65 percent in just two years.

If the Obama administration increases the national debt by 65 percent every two years, the debt will be $16.5 trillion in 2010 and $27.225 trillion by 2012, the year of the next presidential election.

To answer the question of how big a problem borrowing $6.5 trillion will be over the next two years, consider the fact that 1 trillion is the number 1 followed by 12 zeroes

If you had gone into business on the day Jesus was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, 365 days a year, it would take you until October 2737 to lose $1 trillion.

If you spent $1 million a day, every day since Jesus was born, you would still be only slightly more that three-quarters of the way to spending $1 trillion.

Democrats don't mind (mere chump change),.... the inflationary ramifications are what is going to be the reality slap in a few years.

Interest rates for homes back in the 8 to 15% range, for people with great credit.

Corporations that did not get bailout funds, Exxon, Shell, BP, will manipulate refinery production, (since no new ones will be built), and gas will creep back up, (as it is starting to do now).

Healthcare costs will become the gorilla in the room, and wait for it,........

Defense Cuts WILL happen.... Its a liberal tradition, they can't help it....

Oh, we will be one national disaster, or terrorist attack from a real crisis.

Stocking up your provisions?

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Good to see Obama 1st action is following through on what he said he would do (screw the U.S economy even more)

Nothing like mortgaging our kids & grandkids futures. KRudd wants to do the same here, and run debt to $200 billion in the next two or so year.

FYI  Aust was debt free  a while ago and our budget has been in surplus for ages

Healthcare has been the 800 pound gorilla for some time - not only the lack of decent care for some people but also the cost of the Federal programs. I was working for a state gummint when Medicaid became the highest priced care around, and how nervous the Fed people responsible were (CMS) - the Congressional spotlight was on them. Then Congress passed Medicare Part D and the spotlight swung back to Medicare. At that time, Medicaid was $350 Billion - who knows what it is now, but together they alone have to be near a trillion.

Feel that? That was the water being raised a few more degrees, fellow frogs.

Amen on everything else,TW.

Health care cost are already huge.   What really sucks is if you have nothing your covered, but if you only have a little bit(couple grand in the bank, you know like a couple trying to save up to buy thier 1st house) your screwed.

What is really messed up is that they charge diffrent people diffrent prices.  That really needs to stop.

Has anyone considered what's going to happen if the countries buying our debt start insisting on property for collateral. What happens if the Chinese demand Hawaii in exchange for further loans? Would you give up your Social Security to keep the 50th state?

Health care is not a proper function of government.
A huge part of our present problem, is the fact that people who claim to be conservative, accept, and take advantage of socialist government programs.
