That looks to me like a small boar to be building up the new 450Bushmaster. If you do not know or have not heard about the 450Bushmaster cal. it is supose to be the next-best-thing to sliced bread. The kill-all for two or four legged animals.  :)
I have my doubts though.  :-\

Absolutely.

If you can figure out how to get a jpg of the March 1957 cover, you will have a good chuckle.

It is the AR10 by the way, chambered in .308

March 1957 | Eugene Jaderquist

***********************************************************************

For eight years, California hunters have been unnerved by the sudden appearance of George Sullivan in the field.

There is nothing peculiar about Sullivan himself when he's out hunting.

It is just his weapons that prompt a fast double-take. Most guns just don't have light, silvery barrels, bright red breech actions, and Kelly green stocks.

But Sullivan's guns are a little unusual in more ways than color. They are the advance guard of a major airplane company's entry into the gun-making field.

I have taken Mulies with my FAL, but not an Elk yet (not the rifles fault).

Since I have just won an auction for an AR-10, I guess that will be the next one going hunting..  I wonder how well it will do..

Yes, hunting with black rifles can be fun.  :)  I said I was going to be taking it out..

Taken up behind my house.  I have been hunting this one hard for the last 3 days, and off and on for over a month.  He was shot at a measured distance of 173 meters, uphill at a 46 degree angle. Yes it is steep.  The rifle is an Armalite AR-10 in .308 using my handloads.  Never took a step.
