HASTINGS, Neb. -- (AP) Hastings leaders have decided to keep the city's ban against concealed weapons for now, and Beatrice leaders have decided to review their city's prohibition.

Both actions were prompted by an opinion from the state Attorney General's Office that a 2006 state law allowing concealed weapons should override any local ban.

While the Nebraska Attorny General is to be commended for standing up for our Second Amendment and Right to Carry rights it still takes EVERYONE to help also. Case in point is the City of Scottsbluff pulling back to just restricting No Carry in City Government buildings instead of expanding to include ANY public property was the result of the public's input.

WE have to keep informed AND be INVOLVED.  The Antigunners are not going away and they are only waiting for the right spark. KEEP your voice in front of ALL your lawmakers at the local level right on up to the top.
