Randall made LEFT-HANDED PISTOLS. That's the only reason I remember the name.

A friend of mine's dad had a Randall Commander way back in the 80's. I never got to shoot it, but it was a good looking gun.
He traded it for a Colt National Match in the early 90's, I believe.

I remember the Randall pistols.  They were around for a short time.  As I remember they made some pretty good guns.  Looked them up on Google.  Found an interesting site, http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/history/randall_history.htm.  According to the article they made the first stainless steel 1911.  Randall was in business from 1983 to 1985.  The 9mms were made from Jan 1984 to June 1984.

DesertMarine got it pretty much right, 1st left ejecting 1911, left handed as you say, but I think AMT made the 1st stainless model. Seemed to be well made and usable.

Only reason I really remembered the Randall was because the same guy I mentioned above also had a Devel .45 ACP that was built on a Colt pistol like similar to the on at the link below.
