Didn't see what you are talking about but KKM, Lone Wolf and Bar-Sto make aftermarket barrels.  Some say they get improved accuracy with an AM barrel and say the accuracy is about the same.  One advantage of AM barrel for the Glock is you can safely shoot lead reloads in an AM barrel.

Got a Storm Lake ported barrel for my Glock 23 - Drop in tight - very happy with accuracy and reducing muzzel flip.
Barrel had to be broken in with shooting. Accuracy improved greatly after 50 rounds.

The show was Shooting USA and they were comparing the OEM Glock barrel with a drop in BarSto barrel.  They were shooting from a ransom rest and, yes, the BarSto did shoot slightly better.  The Glock barrel is free, however, as it comes the the weapon and the BarSto was stated to cost $250.

The question to ask yourself is, "Are you shooting at a higher level with your Glock than the standard barrel can deliver?"
Be honest with yourself.

Stated another way, "Can you consistantly shoot one inch groups with five rounds with your stock Glock at seven meters and is that not enough accuracy for your needs?"  If you cannot, IMHO, spend the $250 on another training class and/or buy more ammo for practice and forget the BarSto barrel.  If you want to shoot lead ammo, a different barrel is required but you can achieve that with much less than $250.  Lone Wolf  barrels at about $100 would do the job.  If you are a world class shooter, then a BarSto is the quality you need and then get a sponsor to buy it for you.

Just my humble opinion.

Bar-Sto is the best. KKM, Jarvis, Storm Lake are all good. Don't forget Lone Wolf barrels too. They are decent and the cheapest. But, just as good or better than stock barrel.
