And then you will add to it looking for "the better one". ;D

Man is that right. I have gone through all the mass produced stuff; some work and some are "one size fit's all" junk. I have found that spending about 1/3-1/2 more for a custom made holster makes a big difference in comfort, concealability and rapid access especially when carrying a large pistol like a G21 or a 1911. It's also a factor here in Texas in the warmer months when deep carry is necessary to maintian concealability and you have a light shirt on.
Remember that concealment may not be cover.

I just went out to the mailbox and it came. The gun fits like a glove, not too tight, and not too lose. I really like the protective plastic button they have on the inside of the retention snap. That's a nice touch that prevents the back of your slide from getting scratched up over time. It has a slight curved, hip hugging shape to it that allows it to fit nice and close, but still is comfortable. Now I need a belt. I want something that is heavy duty and meant for using with a handgun and extra mag carrier, not a "dress" belt. I've been window shopping on the computer, and they don't come cheap either. A good one is almost as much, if not more than the holster. This stuff never ends. I'm not complaining if the whole rig is nice and comfortable. Nothing is worse than a cheap rig you won't wear. I have several of those.   Bill T.

Check out Mitch Rosen or Kirpatrick leather for a quality belt.

Bill, check the 5.11 Tactical leather belts.  Their strong, designed to be a duty belt and their no more expensive than a good qualilty belt, about 40 bucks.  Some of the rest are really expensive, 80-90 bucks and more.  I have two of the 5.11, one brown and one black.  I've worn one or the other nearly every day for the last 6 months.

Thanks for the heads up! This one is nice for only $35.00

Some of them are over $100.00. I can see it for a nice holster, but not for a straight, plain belt. Another good thing is they don't charge extra for the larger sizes. I normally wear a 44", but they say to add on at least 2" extra for the gun. They have them up to 54". Thanks again.   Bill T.

That's a good price, I have the same one.  For info, there is a little hidey place for an extra handcuff key in the center of the belt.

I am still a sucker for my Blackhawk Serpa Holster. I have one for almost all of my handguns. Unfortunately Blackhawk does not make them for every handgun or I would have one for them also.

That's what I use every day with my Glock 27. Good holsters. But when I carry my 1911, I still go back to IWB because of the size of the pistol and the barrel length.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I have carried Fobus, Bianchi, Don Hume, Galco, Uncle Mike's and Blackhawk. I have enjoyed all these holsters and are very good but after purchasing my first Blackhawk Serpa for my Glock 21SF, I decided to purchase them for most of my handguns. Love the ability to switch from a paddle to a belt loop held holster.
