I'd put the Glock at #1.
But that is not relevant as all the guns on your list have VERY good reputations.
The only thing to choose between them is which one feels better in your hand, then which one do you shoot the best.
Don't go by what the sales man tells you, he's just trying to sell a gun.

Shoot them then you'll know. As far as accuracy, dependability & durability they're all about the same. You take the chance in getting a lemon with anything you buy.

.40 or .45 that too you will know when you shoot them..

It's what you like and what feels good in your hand.

Good luck, happy hunting ;D

I shoot a Glock all the time but the M&P feels better in my hand.  I've shot a few differnt XDs and they were pretty nice.  I don't know enough/haven't shot the Taurus so I'll take a bye.  But like Tom said, it's personal preference at that point as all of them have proven that they are good guns.

The Glock has been around longer followed by the XD with the Millenium Pro and M&P being relatively new to the market.

I personally would go with .45 in the Taurus if money is an issue - they run less than $500. The M&P feels very nice, can't get warmed up to Glocks or the XD. Or a 1911 like the RIA that used to be less than $400.

Good luck, post porn.

I would rate them even, the best one is the one that fits you .

+1

My M+P .40 felt like "the one" as soon as I picked it up. Accuracy is better than I am. However, I don't own a Glock (yet), but have shot many; and as far as target acquisition, ease of use, and accuracy it did just fine,..

With all those good choices, it's your hand and comfort level that will choose "the" one.

My M+P kinda chose me.  ;D

I have the xd in a .45acp      i dont consider myself to have natural shooting talent/ability   but i key hole most the time with the xd.   The angle on the glock didnt sit well with me.  Good gun...but just not for me.

You cant really put one over the other... just comes down to  what you like and what your better with.
