« on: February 24, 2009, 05:02:52 PM »
Tonight at 9:00 is the Obama Presidential address..... Lets boycott it and all go to the chat room to talk about guns instead  :)
Everything I needed to learn in life I learned from Country Music.

Beer and Chips?
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I'd say +1 , but it really wouldn't be a boycott. One of my guiding principles is that, the way to tell if a politician is lying, is if he's talking. Therefore I never watch, or listen to speeches.

Plus I don't type fast enough for the chat room.

Hah!  Got to see my NCIS.  Even oBh knows not to mess with Gibbs.

Also read the whole speech on-line and was done before he was.   I understand there was a lot of rising to their feet and clapping by members of congress and supposedly a lot of TV veiwers.   If you couple oBh's speech with Thomas Sowells recent article.

Then you understand that at my house there was a lot of wailing and nashing of teeth.   Sowell calls it a"fatal trajectory."  I use an aeronautics term, "'coffin corner" referring to a flight configuration from which there is no recovery.

I did not watch the dog and pony show. I watched Dirty Jobs and Wreckreation Nation. Much more informative.

At my house we stuck the The Cartoon Network, it is more real world.
I kept my self entertained with a slide show I been making of TAB's avatars.
