Heck, buy a $300 stock 870 and let Bill Wilson at W. Combat trick it out for another grand or so...

Scattergun Technologies is like the Holy Grail of tactical 870's, but that gets expensive...

No offence, but $800 plus dollars for an 870 without choke tubes???? I mean, it looks cool, but has anyone fired a folding stock with 3 1/2 mags? I can't imagine its fun. Plus, how does it work with shouldering for wing shooting,because I don't know about ya'll but I plan on shooting a lot more ducks than BGs. I'd like to read a review on this thing, but it looks like "tacti-cool" marketing BS.  Just like putting the word "marine" in front of something means you can double the price, the same is true of "tactical". ($100 flashlights anyone)? It seems like you could save a lot of green on a stock 870, buy extra tubes and have a more versitile gun that doesn't scare the neighbors, is more fun to shoot and is just as good at home defence. Oh, and you won't lose it if you set it down to heed the call, what with the cammo and all. (Does this make me an old fart)? PS how do I get the nifty little emoticons to drag and drop to the text, I can't figure it out. (Question answered, defintely an old fart).

Just responding to my last post. I inadvertantly, quoted the "tactical" turkey (does this include Donald Rumsfeld?) at $800 when I meant to type $500. Once again, the old fart question has been aske and answered.

I haven't found any 3  1/2" mag guns that were fun too shoot! It looks like it has a nice rubber butt plate. I don't think that it would be any worse then a standard stock. 870's are wonderfull guns. Never fail, easy too use but I hate the safety on the trigger guard. The 835 has the safety on top, I like that much better.

I believe Choate makes extension tubes for the 835. Midwayusa lists them on Pg 575 of their catalog (2 & 3 rd extensions.)
