Sound Advice I hope No One ever needs..
« on: February 28, 2009, 09:08:03 PM »
This is a "reality check" for those who consider the future of a possible passage of a "permanent" AWB.  Fenced in areas in the desert, an AG like Eric Holder, and a POTUS like BHO.

Previous threads have posted the wisdom of choosing your words carefully whenever talking to LEO's about your firearms.

This post is not to disrespect or denigrate LEO's,  just exercise your Constitutional Rights as it pertains to the 4th and 5th Amendment. Let alone the 2nd.

I hope it never comes to this but an interesting article none the less.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

While I am not at all down with the militia black helicopter folks, there is a reason I am a member of both the the NRA and the ACLU. Remember, there are a lot of us liberal/libetertarians that are whole cloth on civil liberties. You don't get to pick and choose which freedoms are imporant or the government will do it for you.
