Adrenalin goes a long way too.
Everyone reacts different to trauma (I'd think shooting one's self would be somewhat traumatic?).

Hell I didn't realize my leg was broken (even though now I can distinctly recall hearing the snap of my femur) until I looked over and saw the bottom of my own boot. I was just laying there calmly talking to the deputy that luckily just happened upon the scene just after the accident (he was a high school pal).

The DEA guy was on the national news last year, as he was suing the DEA for releasing that video.

Clever interviewer pointed out that while millions may have seen the video, because of the lawsuit, millions more have now gotten to see it.

The guy didn't get it...

Another one of some in LE who should not be allowed to have or handle firearms.

Well I didn't get a good look at what happened, but it looked like his hand got loose and got in the slide. He should of had better control of the gun because thats what it's all about. I don't me to be mean but it probably was his own fault, even I know that and I'm 13.
